This is our flagship programme; a hands-on, structured initiative designed to connect coastal school children with the ocean. It is rooted and aligned with UNESCO’s Ocean Literacy framework and localised to Kenya’s six diverse marine ecosystems. For many participants, this is their first direct experience of the marine environment.
Delivered in five progressive stages, it builds confidence, curiosity, and practical understanding of ocean ecosystems:
In-school ocean learning sessions
Beach clean-ups that explore human impact
Rock pooling to discover coastal biodiversity
Swimming lessons focused on safety and confidence
Guided snorkelling exploring the underwater world
